According to myth, the lioness is said to give birth to stillborn cubs which have to be brought alive by the mighty roar of their mother. The green lion is an alchemical symbol for the heart. Perhaps its function is to wake us up to our full potential. This retreat will focus on how we can be more present to our own depths and more comfortable in the world, both of which take both love and courage – two qualities also associated with the heart.

Testimonials from previous retreats led by Paramananda

“Sitting with Paramananda feels like a blessing, and some of the most beautiful meditative openings that I’ve had have come with him. Body-based, soulful, poetic and human. This is complimented by the environment of Rivendell, with the flowers of the garden, the woods, the deer – a wonderful place to practice.” Mokshayogin

“A rare chance to go deeper, for longer. This time with an extremely experienced teacher who opened up for me how we can relax and work in the body to address the mind. The whole team and environment supported that, and it had lasting implications for my practice.” Nisha
